Jeff - This place at the northern end of Brick Lane is quite small; but still has draft Cobra which is a definite plus these days. Service was pretty quick but as last time the staff looked as though they would rather be anywhere else. The meal was ok, perfectly acceptable but nothing out of the ordinary. My lamb Korahi main came sizzling as it should. The menu prices looked to be on the expensive side, but Mark had been able to negotiate a discount in advance so we got 20% off the bill plus a free pint. Other less experienced punters, tourists perhaps, would not be so lucky.

Jon - Being back on Brick Lane is always good and it was a very pleasant evening with decent food.  It was probably a bit pricey for Brick Lane, even with the 20% discount, but it is probably a notch above the average.  Service slightly marked down as they needed a nudge to get us the bill at the end but everything else was up to scratch.  Sitting down in the Pride of Spitalfields was something of a novelty, but certainly not unwelcome.

Neil - The evening started well with us getting a table at the Pride of Spitalfields which is a rare occurrence. Beer prices were not too bad especially the lager shandy which I got a bit of ribbing about! The mixed reviews of the curry house from the previous visit put us in a cautious mood but all turned out OK. My starter of Prawn Puri was excellent (fresh, spicy and lots of it) so thanks Dave for recommending. The Chicken Bhuna main also very tasty only let down by needing a bit more chicken but the sauce was superb. The rice was slightly dry but plentiful. VFM very good after the negotiated discount, it all looked quite pricey on the menu so thanks to Mark for sorting that out.

Mark - Trick or Treat time and certainly below budget compared to most of our recent visits with a free pint and 20% discount which followed on from PoS where beer was under £5. Almost like Brick Lane of old for a cheap evening out. Bright green chicken starter followed by Lamb Sag were both good although fairly mild. Rice plentiful and service efficient if a bit abrupt, washed down with draft Cobra. A very respectable evening with a seat in the snug to start and an earlyish finish - just wish Thameslink could sort out the trains.

Dave - Excellent meal at the Brick Lane Brasserie. Met at the PoS (and sat at a table!) PoS gotta be the only pub in London where a pint is less than £5. Curry and prawn purée both good and draft cobra on offer (the heineken was canned so I went for the draft cobra as no kingfisher available). Excellent price negotiated by el pres.

John - Fried fish followed by Chicken Shashlick with some very tasty chana masala / mushroom bhaji. A good solid performance for this busy Brick Lane eatery.

Brian - A very enjoyable evening. The PoS may be a small pub, and busy, but they cram so many staff behind the bar that you don't wait long. And there's a decent choice of beers. The Brick Lane Brasserie didn't disappoint either - fried fish starter was still very good, as was my fish curry main. Sides and rice all good, and the beer was fine.
