Dave - Excellent curry - lots of sauce. Overall good. Enjoyment hampered by the constant references to the freak West Ham victory over Chelsea. Didn't rate Long Tall Shorty (are we going to have a new category for after-dinner entertainment?). Attempt to upgrade Gold pass to Platignum failed miserably with the loaded line from Sylvi "it's your decision".
Graeme - Food was good (except the stodgy rice) although the portions were on the small side. Excellent cheesy pees! Bland decor. The waiter tried to give me a half-pint beer glass - he won't make that mistake again - mind you, Mark used his! Not sure about the hygiene implications of having the hand dryer directly above the toilet pan.
Mark - Very middle range curry. Would probably be very good on your local high street but not the best in the Brick Lane area. Small portion of chicken for main meal was a dissapointment - I blame Griff for requesting 'lots of sauce'. The post meal entertainment was not up to recent standards, perhaps we can look for a panto at the Xmas curry.
Neil - A curry house that promised more than it delivered, great menu selection, but I suspect that it was accomplished by adding different garnish to the same curry sauce, my main course was definitely put together this way. After curry entertainment at the Rhythm Factory was excellent, is this now a tradition? Can we expect to see Griff 'melon & cherry' jumping up and down to Mod beats every last Thursday?
John - I had the sh*ts for two days after this one!! The main course "Chicken Balti Jalfrezi" was tasteless and the starter "King Prawn Purree" was not much better. The Veg was good as was the beer.
Joseph - Having very little to compare a curry restaurant to apart from my own sublime curry effort in Form 2 cooking class, my grading may cause the data to be askew. An enlightening night ......... who knew Dave moonlighted as a topless table top dancer when the restaurant doubles as an after-hours go-go bar??? The food was fine apart from the rice being dead and the portions barren. Service sluggish. But I survived the night without my stomach writhing beside me in a caustic frothing pool. I was entirely absorbed by the interaltitudinal level partition communicator (the tube between floors to the kitchen) ........ made me homesick for the tincan and string phones we have back in technologically advanced NZ ....... sob sob.
