Dave - Excellent "expertly coordinated" curry at the Muhib - kicked off at the traditional Brick Lane meeting point of Pride of Spitalfields (£4.50 a pint) and then moved on to the Muhib at the now established earlier start time of 7pm. Overall an excellent Griff set menu washed down with a bottled kingfisher (as only had draft Cobra). Free round of janice's at the end finished off the evening well and a busy restaurant contributed to a good overall ambience. Would definitely expect this to make top six - looking forward to return.

Richard - I was able to join early for a cosy drink in the  PoS. A fine East End boozer with the Muhib around the corner. Food was good (mixed starter, chicken bhuna main) and I liked the restaurant although prices were a touch high for Brick Lane, even with a modest veg count.

Jon - It was good to be back in Brick Lane but, based on this visit, it's no longer cheap if you don't negotiate a discount. Nonetheless, it was an excellent meal. I had a mixed starter and a king prawn shaslik and both were very good - superbly cooked and very tasty.   And draft Cobra which tasted like the real thing upped the beer mark.

Jeff - It was nice to visit Brick Lane again after a little while away from it. This place, which we last visited 3 years ago, is clean and quite inviting. There is still draft cobra; and the menu still features every dish you could think of. As usual I didn't read it until the waiter came to take our order which seemed to happen quite quickly. Food was sort of average, nothing to complain about, and looking back on it not quite as good as I thought it was at the time because I was enjoying the evening. I chose cashew nut roll, same as my last visit, and it was ok. As last time, the Korahi I chose featured large chunks of red chilli, some of which I ate and some I left - but at least it wasn't as bland as I've had recently elsewhere. The lamb wasn't fatty but not top quality either. Perhaps I am being a little harsh. I thought the rice was a bit tired looking and not particularly generous as I ate a whole portion myself. Service was really good, and a free round of liqueurs was freely provided on request. 

Neil - We met in the Pride of Spitalfields, definitely a 'marmite' pub. I like it but I can see why others don't, the strange cat smell and hard stares from the locals is slightly off-putting! Curry house was fine except the meat in both courses (mixed starter and chicken dopiaza) was overcooked and quite rubbery which was a shame as the sauces were very tasty. Cobra was on draught and we had a free round of baileys so have upped the booze mark.
